About Liverpool
Liverpool are, by trophies, the most successful club in English football alongside Manchester United, with 20 league titles and a European pedigree no English club can match. Founded in 1892 after a rent dispute at Anfield split them from Everton, they built their name under Bill Shankly and Bob Paisley and turned Anfield into one of the game's great venues.
The modern side won the Premier League in 2024/25, then fell away to a fifth-place finish that cost Arne Slot his job. Andoni Iraola inherits a rebuild without Mohamed Salah, with Alexander Isak leading the line after a British-record move from Newcastle.
