About AFC Bournemouth

AFC Bournemouth were formed in 1899 as Boscombe FC and have played at Dean Court, now the Vitality Stadium, since 1910, on land given by the Cooper-Dean family. For decades they were the league's great constants of the third tier, with a 1984 Associate Members' Cup and Harry Redknapp's 1987 Third Division title the highlights, until Eddie Howe took them from the edge of League Two to the Premier League with three promotions in six years, sealed by the 2015 Championship title.

The Andoni Iraola years raised the bar again: ninth in 2024/25, then a best-ever sixth in 2025/26, closed out with an 18-game unbeaten run and a first European qualification in the club's 127-year history, even after selling Antoine Semenyo to Manchester City for £64m in January. Iraola left for Liverpool in the summer; Marco Rose arrived on a three-year deal to lead Bill Foley's club into the Europa League.
