About Pep Guardiola
Pep Guardiola was the metronome of Johan Cruyff's Barcelona Dream Team, a defensive midfielder who won four straight La Liga titles and the 1992 European Cup before later spells in Italy, Qatar and Mexico. He took over Barcelona in 2008 and, in his first year, won all six trophies on offer, the tiki-taka side that reset how the game is coached.
After three Bundesliga titles at Bayern Munich he joined Manchester City in 2016 and stayed ten years. City won six Premier Leagues under him, four in a row from 2021, and the 2023 treble sealed by a first Champions League. He left in May 2026, his final trophy the FA Cup, and moved into a global ambassador role at City Football Group.
