About Thomas Tuchel

Thomas Tuchel built his reputation in Germany at Mainz and Borussia Dortmund, where he won the 2017 German Cup, before back-to-back Ligue 1 titles and a first Champions League final at Paris Saint-Germain. He lost that 2020 final to Bayern, then won the trophy a year later with Chelsea, months after taking charge, and added the 2023 Bundesliga title at Bayern Munich.

The Football Association appointed him in October 2024 and he began work in January 2025, the second foreign manager of the England men's team, with a single brief: win the 2026 World Cup. England reached the semi-finals in North America, his first tournament in charge, and lost 1–2 to Lionel Messi's Argentina.
