About Hansi Flick

Hansi Flick played as a midfielder for Bayern Munich in the late 1980s before a long apprenticeship in the dugout: five years as head coach of Hoffenheim and eight as Joachim Löw's assistant with Germany, a partnership that won the 2014 World Cup. Handed the Bayern job in November 2019, he swept every competition in 2020, the Bundesliga, the DFB-Pokal and a Champions League final won 1–0 against Paris Saint-Germain, part of a six-trophy sextuple.

He took charge of Germany in 2021 but left in 2023 after a poor run. Barcelona hired him in 2024, and he answered with the club's first national treble in his debut season: La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Supercopa. A second straight La Liga title followed in 2025/26, and he was named the division's Coach of the Season both years.
