About Unai Emery

Unai Emery is the most successful coach in the history of the Europa League, with four titles: three in a row at Sevilla between 2014 and 2016, and a fourth at Villarreal in 2021, beating Manchester United on penalties for the club's first major trophy. A former lower-league midfielder, he built his reputation on meticulous preparation and knockout football.

He won the 2017–18 Ligue 1 title and a stack of domestic cups at Paris Saint-Germain, endured a short, difficult spell at Arsenal that ended in defeat in the 2019 Europa League final, then rebuilt his standing at Villarreal.
