About Xavi
Xavi Hernández spent his club prime at Barcelona, the La Masia graduate who became the passing heartbeat of the most decorated side in the club's history. Across 767 appearances between 1998 and 2015 he won eight La Liga titles and four Champions Leagues, and his tempo control turned tiki-taka from an idea into a trophy machine. His appearance record stood until Lionel Messi passed it in 2021.
With Spain he was central to a golden era, winning Euro 2008 as Player of the Tournament, the 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012, three straight major titles. He closed his playing career at Al Sadd in Qatar, then moved into management, coaching Barcelona to the 2023 La Liga title.
