About Arne Slot

Arne Slot played as a midfielder across a career spent entirely in the Netherlands, at Zwolle, NAC Breda and Sparta Rotterdam, before moving into coaching. He built his name at AZ Alkmaar and then Feyenoord, where he won the 2022/23 Eredivisie, the club's first league title since 2017, added the 2023/24 KNVB Cup, and reached the inaugural Europa Conference League final in 2022.

He succeeded Jürgen Klopp at Liverpool in 2024 and won the Premier League at the first attempt, the club's 20th English title and the first by a Dutch manager, taking both the LMA and Premier League Manager of the Season awards. The title defence unravelled to a fifth-place finish, and Liverpool dismissed him on 30 May 2026, appointing Andoni Iraola in his place.
