About Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest were founded in 1865, one of the oldest clubs in the world, but their identity was forged in five years under Brian Clough: promoted in 1977, champions of England in 1978, and European Cup winners in 1979 and 1980, back to back, a feat no club of their size has repeated. The City Ground, on the banks of the Trent, has been home since 1898.

Evangelos Marinakis has owned the club since 2017, and his patience with head coaches is famously short. The 2025/26 season used four of them: Nuno Espírito Santo sacked in September, Ange Postecoglou gone after 39 days, Sean Dyche after 114, before Vítor Pereira arrived in February, steered Forest to safety in 16th and reached a Europa League semi-final, and was still sacked in July. Oliver Glasner, the Eagles' Conference League-winning coach, is the fifth boss in twelve months.
