About Arsenal

Arsenal were founded in 1886 by munitions workers in Woolwich and crossed the river to north London in 1913. Herbert Chapman made them the team of the 1930s, and Arsène Wenger's 2003/04 Invincibles went through a league season unbeaten, part of a 49-game unbeaten run no English side has matched.

The 22-year wait after that ended in May 2026: Mikel Arteta's side took the title on 82 points with a game to spare, a 14th English championship after three straight second-place finishes. The same season carried scars, the Carabao Cup final lost to Manchester City and the Champions League final lost to PSG on penalties in Budapest.

Recent form

Champions in 2025/26 at last, sealed on 82 points with a game to spare after a title race with Manchester City that turned in the final month. The trophy came with two hard endings: a 0–2 Carabao Cup final defeat to City and the Champions League final lost to PSG on penalties. Arteta's core of Saka, Rice and Saliba is at its peak, with Gyökeres the focal point.
